If you download the old mods here on gta-5mods, don't expect to get them working again without some work. rockstar seems to have moved the explosion file stuff around and also changed the weapons.meta. Rockstar's updates are part of the reason why I stopped releasing weapon mods until now, as it seems mod breaking changes may be over.

-Improved launching of peds with cop pistol. Peds must also aim for a few seconds before firing
-Hydra and buzzard rapid fire rockets, and faster launch speed, range, and better explosion
-Most guns do not frighten peds if they see it or hear it, and some may even attack you
-rapid fire tank cannon with longer range
-Assault shotgun can launch vehicles without blowing them up
-New melee weapons mods- launch peds with knife, hammer, baseball bat, and golf club (baseball bat referenced from bugbutts magic bat mod)
-You no longer have to backup your files before installing. I have included the backups
-RPG has a laser trail effect- a normally unused trail effect from the game

I should first mention that the police can no longer use long weapons. They either use a pistol or nightstick. You should find that this is much more fun as the nightstick cops run to you, so you can blow them away at point blank, and the pistol cops... well just read on and you'll know what the pistol does ;)
Special weapons (and most noteworthy):
Pistol (the one used by police)
A strong air blast comes from the gun and launches you into the air. All police carry this gun will launch themselves! This may be my favorite weapon. Infinite ammo, no reload.
Combat pistol
long range. Increased accurate mode zoom. Petrol pump explosive rounds. Shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger. Infinite ammo, no reload.
Heavy Pistol
Anti gravity forcefield. Makes everything in a 50 foot radius fall away from earth and lasts about 8 seconds. Infinite ammo, no reload.
Ap pistol
Shoots sticky flaming baseballs that explode on impact into a high force flame. Fling peds, card, helis, jets! Increased lock range. Infinite ammo, no reload. Increased accurate mode zoom. Also has a drum mag.
Microsmg & vintage pistol
similar to Ap pistol but projectiles explode in a high burst of steam. Also the explosion is delayed when sticking vehicles. You must wait 8 seconds or detonate using sticky bomb detonate key. Infinite ammo, no reload. Increased accurate mode zoom.
Grenade
Explosion is like the Heavy pistol's antigravity effect. Infinite ammo
Pump shotgun
Snow ball launcher! This thing is amazing. Snowballs have high velocity and force. Shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger. Increased accurate mode zoom. Infinite ammo, no reload.
Marksman Rifle
Full auto, EXTREME fire rate. no recoil, perfect accuracy, increased damage, accuracy, and projectile force.
Heavy Sniper

Hey, @shaunr, I have a suggestion for your mod!... (this is to author)
It's possible to make on every weapon type slot (except the Melee one) to have one Pistol, Submachine Gun, one Shotgun, one Assault Rifle, one Light Machine Gun, one Sniper Rifle, one Heavy Weapon and one Explosive weapon, instead every weapon slot you to cycle through weapons from ONLY one type?
For example: Pistol (Handguns slot) normally contains the following weapons which are from one type ONLY: 1. Pistol; 2. Combat Pistol; 3. AP Pistol; 4. Stun Gun; 5. Pistol .50; 6. SNS Pistol; Heavy Pistol; 8. Vintage Pistol; 9. Flare Gun; 10. MarksMan Pistol. I'm wonder if it's possible you to change places of weapons so on every number place on specific Weapon type slot to contains weapons from DIFFERENT types, and every number of from a weapon type slot (I mean number, not the slot itself) contains only specific weapon type? For example: 1. only Handgun type; 2. only Submachine Gun type; 3. only Shotgun type; 4. only Assault Rifle type; 5. only Light Machine type; 6. only Sniper Rifle type; 7. Only Heavy weapon type); 8. only Thrown weapons... Although you could do an exception and add some other weapons from different type in slots that has less amount of that type weapon, since Pistol weapons are 10 vs. only 7 Weapon Sectors (excluding melee one), however snipers type has only three weapons so you could put three of pistols there...
I think, dear Shaunf, if you assign two invertory slots (I suggest these to be Submachine Gun and Assult Rifle invertory for the weapons that only has modified rate of fire or are unmodified, another 5 weapon slots (Handguns, Shotguns, Lightmachine, Snipper, Heavy weapon, and Thrown inventories) to contain the weapons modified by your mod!
I suggest this because this would make possible player to have on Weapon Wheel TWO OR MORE selected weapons from one type simultaneously! For example with the modification I suggested above player would be able to have two slots that has selected two sniper weapons at the same time - Snipper Rifle and Heavy Sniper, or to have a three slots on weapon wheel containing three handguns selected simultaneously - for example Heavy Pistol, SNS Pistol and Pistol .50! What about this?
One note to my suggestion above - Melee slot to remain unchanged... Although I'm not sure how the game could behave on similar weapon swap, especially if you're loading save thwt has similar weapon swap saved...
That's an interesting idea. And yes, it is possible but I don't think you could order it in a particular way. Anyway, so in the weapons file, like the main one in the update.rpf\common\data\ai go into the weapons.meta locate any weapon (starts with Cweaponinfo) and look for <WheelSlot>
You will need to change whatever comes after that (like WHEEL_RIFLE) to something else, like WHEEL_PISTOL, or WHEEL_HEAVY or WHEEL_PISTOL or WHEEL_SMG or WHEEL_SHOTGUN or WHEEL_SNIPER, or WHEEL_THROWABLE_SPECIAL
That is all very simple to do. It may be a bit time consuming though.
Thanks! No matter, you could try to do this! You might test by saving game with modified weapons and try to see haow it could load save with swapped weapons and can always cancel it and keep original switch in Weapon wheel in case your game crashes and loading savegames with the modified slots cannot be handled by the game. :)

@Shaunr, I'm wonder if you can make your strong weapons do damage only non-friendly NPC and police / SWAT / military but do NOT harm (weapons to have NO EFFECT) against player or friendly NPCs in any way? Because I tried to make force with the Heavy Pistol and Franklin was also forced and in result he simply died! However, yesterday there was an update for GTA V and ScriptHook is broken again. Can you make weapons do not force or harm Franklin / Michael / Trevor or friendly NPCs like Michael's family somehow as a mod that requres only OpenIV because no working ScriptHook V = NO any GodMode usable, since all GodMode / Infinite Health mods are only script...
@65536 Unfortunately I have no time to research how to modify existing files to get the effect you want, but there is a trainer (not a mod menu and doesn't use scripthook) called Lingon. I don't think I can link to it here, so you will have to google search. But it will allow you to enable godmode, which will prevent you from being hurt or knocked down. You may have to disable some features on your PC, like UAC and you firewall. You may also have to use a different version. I noticed that the latest version doesn't allow me to enable godmode. This version works for me: v1.0.372.2

Also, besides my request weapons can't harm player / Firendly NPC in any way, seems weapons that have an whirlwind or force effect like Heavy pistol produces a strange glitch: if you're playing as Franklin and you're wearing jacket that is a part of any full suit or any Jacket that is with shirt / vest, if you switch to Heavy Pistol or Micro SMG (or any other weapon that use steam or force) and try to use it, the jacket weared by Franklin will produce strange graphical glitches while weapon effect is in action and Franklin is closer to the steam / force! I tried with another top clothing (i've tried normal shirts or T-shirts and that glitch was NOT present at all... Also I found this glitch also appears if your a place on map that has any cloth awnings near player, as they produces same graphical glitches as official Franklin's jackets too... Please, if you want to make weapons harmless for player and friendly NPC, to also fix for those graphical glitches with Franklin's jackets clothing (actually I've found those glitches also happens with Michael's Police Uniform) and cloth awnings because they're very annoying!
Unfornately, seems my report above was completely useless... I got NO even a single reply about the nasty issue I've reported for with messing clothings when using this mod 3 weeks after my report... Seems author is no longer working on his mod and appears @Shaunr to has stopped his activity here, so I might have no choise but to forget for this mod and search for any alternativies... The issue I encounter seems there is NOT GOING to be fixed at all... :(
@65536 That is beyond my control. Loose fabrics are affected by physics force, the higher the force, the more it will stretch. you will have to change your clothes to something without loose cloth. Don't advise people to not use something simply because there's a small issue. this really isnt a big deal.

Not sure if anyone has been having trouble installing these mods since the update. I'm sure many could figure it out as you should only need to append the modded dlcpack files (the huge list of folders) rather than rewrite the entire archive (replacing needed update files). I should probably be faster to update these but, what can I say. There will be an update soon!
@Shaunr Hey man! Amazing mod! However, when I'm shooting at a ped that has been shooting at me, they suddenly runs away even though I just like fire a bit. In your description it says "Most guns do not frighten peds if they see it or hear it, and some may even attack you". Do you have any idea what has happened? I would love to hear it cause I really love your mod. I will try to post a video if you don't understand my issue. Thank you!
