Welcome back! I have rebuilt the mod from the ground up to support MLO interiors and the ability for you to add your own motels! By default it works the same as the previous version where it will use an interior cell. Additionally it now supports controllers and includes get in and out of bed animations.
There is a test MLO example in the config using Franklin's Aunt's house. Please remove this or replace with your own MLO. This was just to show you how the MLO motels would work
Install
- Having installed ScriptHook, ScriptHookDotnet Nightly Version
- Put "SimmyMotelsRedux.dll" and "SimmyMotelsReduxConfig" in your Scripts folder in the main GTA V directory.
IMPORTANT: If you are using my previous versions of this mod, please DELETE "overnighting.dll" from your scripts folder, they will conflict with each other.
Adding Your Own Motels
- Open the SimmyMotelsReduxConfig in a text editor
- Create a new motel using the same info, taking note of the last motel number for example by default "MotelName9" is the last one, so your next motel must be called MotelName10 and so on...
- Set the Cell to true or false, true will use the teleport method, false will look for the Bed coords you added.
- If you are using an MLO, you must get the coords of the bed whilst stood roughly on top of the pillows.

Occasionally NPC's will be sat in the room, this is not a script bug this is a random feature of the game.

Removed the need for NativeUI, and added sleep animations!

@JoyLucien, the BigMessage (more properly scaleforms) have nothing to do with LemonUI or SHVDN3 other than that they facilitate the coding process for non-professional programmers.
All of LemonUI and SHVDN exploit code from the RAGE (engine) native functions. Rockstar integrates Autodesk's scaleform technology.
I always try to use native functions, out of habit, well most of the time. You can find the scaleforms here, under Graphics.

@JohnFromGWN Yeah, I know this URL, I am more accustomed to using this URL: https://nativedb.dotindustries.dev/gta5/. Speaking of BigMessage, if you don't have nativeUI or LemonUI, you can't use the BigMessage effect just by relying on the shv3 library.
@JoyLucien We can't hijack this thread, but the answer to your question is obvious. Did Rockstar use LemonUI or SHVDN when the implemented the big message? No, because Rockstar used their own code (refer to the decompiled native functions) and for that matter, circa 2010 or whenever the development for GTA V started, LemonUI and SHVDN did not even exist.
This mod works very good. Only issue is for some reason wont work with the controller controls.
@tylerthunder01 fixed that issue in the new version. Should have it uploaded soon, just trying to add a get out of bed animation too 😅

Even better an ini file where we can further customize the mod ourselves. Add locations, change Marker placements for our own MLO interiors.

Um... I don't know if it's just for me, but it seems like there's a little bit of interference with the other mods that change the model. It's not like I can't use the mod, but it seems like I'm getting an animation idle-related check when I run another mod. The mods tested are NIB, PedSelector, and CharacterSwap.
Dope idea but can you make it where we can change the interior location instead of the same hotel interior. For example, I take my character to go to a hotel, purchase a room, go to that rooms marker, then i teleport to one of my mlo bedrooms. Will this be possible in future updates?
Clean mod bro but can you add being able to pay daily in gta time instead of leaving the game and coming back bc if you save your character you get stuck not being able to exit the building

Hey @BurgessGaming , I like the style of mods you are currently developing, would it be possible to make a pimping mod in the future?
Recommend Color.FromArgb instead of Color.Red for your markers will make it look more lore friendly. I think setting the alpha to something like 100-120 will work well
