Because some addon vehicles use custom plates I made this template for GTA V ingame license plate.
How to use:
- import provided file and vehicle you want to edit into zmodeler
- attach license plate to vehicle chassis or bumper
- export vehicle and you are done
Optional: you can delete old license plate before you attach this one. Use vertex mode.

Dope! I wanted a mod like this thanks! Not sure what I am doing wrong. I can get it to It replace the plate all good but it still sources the plate texture from vehshare.ytd instead of using the custom plate texture I put in the vehicles ytd file. Any help appreciated.
@gtavjamal plate texture and font are hardcoded. you cannot change them.

Yep.. for this one are hardcoded to use original plates from the game.
@IGnoTon you can replace the font by putting "vehicle_generic_plate_font.dds" inside the vehicle's .ytd file, however the normalmap of the font or other plate textures won't replace
