This mod adds working CCTV cameras, when you get close to one of them, the blip will turn red and if you do anything suspicious you will get a wanted star.
Security Cameras/CCTV are marked with a white CCTV icon, when you enter its range, it will turn red, if you do something suspicious in this state, the camera will be alerted and will flash and will give you a wanted star.
Current Suspicious Actions:
Player in combat
Player firing weapon
Performing Stealth kill
In melee combat
Trying to enter a locked vehicle
Being in a police vehicle
Update 1.1:
Tweaked the code a bit
Added new config value: CameraRange
It determines the range where the script will check for camera props, default is 1000f
also added MinWantedLevel, you can now change the wanted level that will be given to you if you are spotted. Default is 1 star
Added the source code into the main mod, you dont have to go to github anymore, but can do so anyway
Installation:
drop the contents of the scripts folder into your main scripts folder inside your GTA V Directory
Make sure you have Scripthook V installed
If you encounter any bugs, crashes or just have a suggestion, post it in the comments!
I did encounter crashes myself, but i don't know if it's from this mod or just other scripts and or .meta tweaks
This mod is open-sourced, you can take a look at its code or edit it and maybe make your own version idk

Love the mod.... has a slight drop in fps to me but good job on something new
@gman847 in the future i do plan adding customizable interval, currently you can decrease the CameraRange (not the SeeingRange one) to something like 100f instead of 1000f, as script will pick nearby cctv from player's position, again custom interval is planned (currently script will execute 0 millisecond, so that explains why)
@Ilikeeditingpolice01 could u make it lspdfr compatible and compatible with Ls life and wat I mean is if the player sells in front on cctv camera it will do the same as it would if u shoot at someone
@Ilikeeditingpolice01 would it be possible to make the script detect whether the camera is shot?
I love the idea but I test about can you disable/destroy the camera and I was behind the camera and somehow they can see me
@Elope Hm, cameras can already be shot if you shoot it enough times it will break, problem is detecting that with the script and making the script ignore that camera. I'll look for ways to detect broken cameras and make the script ignore them, and maybe even try doing raycasting even tho i have no idea how i can make that work.

in the robbery there's the mission requirement to shoot the cameras and it works pretty good...
@Elope i could give a look, also mod is incompatible with that as it probably can mess with scripted objects

This spawns ANYWHERE I go. Creates tremendous lag even on my computer.

so i realized when i edit the seeing range it stays at 10ft , would u know any reason for that? its saved as like much more
@gman847 that value is hard-coded, use something like DnSpy to edit that
