Installation
Place Knockout.dll and Knockout.ini into your "scripts" folder. You will need Script Hook V and .NET Script Hook.
Settings
UNCONCIOUS_TIME_MIN - The minimum time of unconsciousness in milliseconds.
UNCONCIOUS_TIME_MAX - The maximum time of unconsciousness in milliseconds.
The script will choose a random time between the minimum and maximum for the unconsciousness timer of the ped.

With this mod, fighting in melee will not result in death of pedestrians but unconsciousness/incapacitation. This will make unarmed fights longer and more interesting. I was inspired by the mechanic in Red Dead Redemption.

awesome mod but i am using raiders violence overhaul which causes blood on their face too anyway they can wake up while still having blood as atm the blood is gone when they wake up besides that is awesome for more realism :D
can you make a pain threshold like in GTA4? they get knocked out but they dont die. but if you keep stomping on their head they can die

@jedijosh920 please make a KO mod like Mafia 3 in which we can silently knock out or just blowing knock out an enemy
why not make an incapacitated mod where instead of them KO'd temporarily, they're writhing in pain instead on the floor for a specific amount of time
i like typical newb's idea - make it a random chance to be ko'd or incapacitated maybe? =D
so question, what about fighting with knifes/blades/non-blunt melee weapons? do they die?
@jedijosh920 Hi josh I've been using this mod of yours for quite some time now, and I love it. Would it be possible to add this effect to stun guns, or is it something that the game's programming prevents you from doing?
this is a good mod but I think enhanced melee combats knockout feature is slightly better since you can put a percentage chance on them getting back up. Putting it at 60-70% means you can knock them out a couple of times but eventually they end up dying , plus in this mod, you can actually kill npcs using melee when they're knocked out

@jedijosh920 question can u add that the knuckle duster also knockout ppl and some other melee weapons excpet for knifes that will be unrealistic coz i got bored as fuck if i hit some1 with a knuckle duster and die same with other melee weapons
This mod is good but there's a bug if you knock someone out and then shoot him in the head while they're unconscious, then they still get up normally despite being shot in the head.
I always wanted to have such mod. I hate when fists kill in games and they downgraded it in GTA 5 compared to GTA 4 which is hard to understand.
I wonder if this also work on player?? I would love to have same effect on player.
It works only on peds :(
Player also should be affected by this knockout mod.
Peds get up but player is wasted and needs to respawn at hospital.

Don't give it a low rating because it doesn't do what you want it to do and it does what it was made for.
Very cool but could you try make the get ups function abit better but never the less I love it

@Cosm1c Gam3r There's ways to disable that. Mods that can do it. Enhanced Native Trainer maybe. I don't remember really but I know I've had my game set up that way at one point.
