For Panico Total's Drone Carrier. Paint for PLAAF, Russia, and USAF
Here https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/drone-carrier-add-on-v1-0
Once installed with their instructions, open the dlc.rpf with OpenIV
Follow this path to the file to overwrite:
...\GTAV\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\dronecarrier\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\vehicles.rpf\dronecarrier.ytd
If you wish to retain the original livery, while in OpenIV, extract the file dronecarrier.ytd. I typically extract the original .ytd to the same folder as the dlc.rpf and rename it to orig_dronecarrier.ytd.
When ready to overwrite, toggle "Edit mode", top right button edit dronecarrier.ytd. Then rename m101_00_d.dds to m101_00_dOrig, then chose the paint you'd like to use and rename that paint to m101_d.dds. For example, m101_00_dRussia to m101_00_d. This is for the small drone.
When ready to overwrite, toggle "Edit mode", top right button edit dronecarrier.ytd. Then rename p_aias_tiled_body_d.dds to p_aias_tiled_body_dOrig, then chose the paint you'd like to use and rename that paint to p_aias_tiled_body_d.dds. For example, p_aias_tiled_body_dRussia to p_aias_tiled_body_d.
When ready to overwrite, toggle "Edit mode", top right button edit dronecarrier.ytd. Then rename p_aias_unique_body_d.dds to p_aias_unique_body_dOrig, then chose the paint you'd like to use and rename that paint to p_aias_unique_body_d.dds. For example, p_aias_unique_body_dRussia to p_aias_unique_body_d.
Just to confirm the livery, I'd click on the dronecarrier.yft or dronecarrier.yft file to open the OpenIV Model Viewer to see what the model will look like with the new livery.
Once satisfied, close the model viewer and run GTAV and spawn dronecarrier with the trainer of your choice.
I've included my work files, in case you'd like to use it as the starting point for your own paint.
Enjoy,
Gillman
