I've always been a bit off-put by the fact that the military in GTA V uses Jeeps instead of Humvees and the wrong rifles and whatnot. But I've decided to start a project at least editing the textures to be more realistic.
It's not the best, but I'm pretty proud to say I've done a re-texture of the USMC / Army vehicles. it's WIP and will likely be updated in the future. If you're the kind of person who likes this look for the military, then you've found the right mod!
Instructions:
1. unzip file contents to desktop
2. use OpenIV to navigate to GTAV/x64e.rpf/levels/gtav/vehicles.rpf
3. Enable edit mode.
4. Drag the files from your unzipped folder into the list of ytd. and yfd. folders.
5. Run GTA V and enjoy a cool texture!
RULES:
-Do not use this in GTA Online. I suggest keeping 2 game directories, one for GTA Online and one for SP. Just rename the one you want to use every time you launch the game as Grand Theft Auto V. Also keep a text file in the folder so you keep them straight.
-Backup your files if you'd like.
-You're free to edit this in any way! I don't mind others uploading this. Give me credit if you'd like.
Let me know if you have other suggestions!
Have fun!
CHANGELOG
0.2 - Added darker (US) variant of the camouflage. Looks much more like the real-world system. Original was marked as CAD camo, as it's color palette is similar to CADPAT.
0.5 - Added Cargobob, Barracks, trailers, and new Crusader camos.

Looks MUCH better than the default paintjob. This one actually looks sprayed on. Great job.
@Dauge thanks brother, I agree. The default one is pretty unrealistic.
Wouldn't desert camo look better?
Nice job, make more of these! :D
Great work man. Have you thought about doing other military vehicles in this camo too? (cargo truck, tank, tanker, titan, etc.)
@Yard1 The military in real life doesn't use desert "camo" they just use tan vehicles for desert environments. There's already a mod for that though. IRL they use sprayed on forest camo for forest environments.
@FistoGames I am aware of the fact that the US military doesn't use desert camouflage patterns on their vehicles, but don't you think that woodland camouflage looks out of place in predominantly desert and arid San Andreas?
@Yard1 There's plenty of forest around, so I would think the opposite. I see your point though.
this is what i was waiting for for a long time, thanks man! :D
@Enforcer_Zer0 No probs! Now we just need someone to make an M1A1 replacement for the L2A4 and HMMWV for the Crusader!
To those who are wondering - I haven't found out how to retexture the Rhino yet. I'd recommend just using the Rhino texture only from this mod: https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/army-vehicles-classic the Titan texture is nice too!
@satrnv @LargeVirus done!
@FistoGames that would be awesome! also this is a mod for the rhino texture: https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/rhino-camouflage-pack there is a woodland camo in there that i have been using for a fairly long time now
@FistoGames :O Nice!!111
I added the skin to a Mesa3 Police Jeep. I uploaded a Military Police Patrol video if you would like to see the skin. It didn't quite wrap all the way around like I had intended but gave you (FistoGames) full credit in the description. Nice skins.
Texture Broken,can you please help me,now
