@Pyyx Hi there! I’m sorry to hear you ran into an error. Let me explain what’s going on!
This map is an add-on DLC made specifically for single-player GTA 5, and it’s been encrypted to protect the original assets. That’s why OpenIV shows an error when you try to open the files directly — the encryption prevents unauthorized editing or extraction. The good news is that the map works perfectly in single-player mode with the standard installation steps!
As for using it on a FiveM server: encrypted DLC files can’t be repackaged into server resources, so they won’t work on FiveM right now. I understand you want to use it for your server, and I’ll consider releasing an unencrypted version in the future specifically for FiveM use. But for now, the map is only intended for single-player play.
If you’re playing single-player and still having trouble, please let me know your game version and setup, and I’ll help you troubleshoot the installation. Thanks for your understanding! 😊
@Starfox1993 Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so glad you see the RP potential of this map.
This is a Lunar New Year themed market for the Year of the Snake, rebuilt right on the Vespucci Beach promenade. I added over 30 market stalls selling traditional Chinese New Year goods, glowing snake statues, and a giant snake sculpture to capture the festive atmosphere of a real Chinese street fair. It’s designed specifically to feel like a lively, immersive festival scene for roleplay servers.
I’m really happy to hear you think it’s perfect for RP! That’s exactly the kind of fun I want players to have with these Chinese-style maps. I’m already working on more traditional Chinese festival scenes, all made with the same care for RP immersion and detail, and they’ll all be completely free for the community to enjoy.
Thanks again for your support, and I hope you have a great time roleplaying at the festival! 😊
I am constantly creating Chinese-style maps, buildings, landscapes and various original mods for the GTA 5 community. I have been deeply interested in traditional Chinese architecture, cultural scenes and unique oriental style content for a long time, and I will keep releasing more rich and detailed oriental themed works in the future.
I truly know that there are many experienced and skilled mod developers from all over the world in this community. I really admire your production experience, technical ability and unique creativity in making maps, MLO interiors, navmesh, NPC paths, animation, vehicle modification and character production.
Now I sincerely want to send a long-term cooperation invitation.
I hope to meet like-minded partners who also love original creation and cultural style mods. If you are a professional modder, technical researcher, or someone who is interested in Chinese style, traditional architecture and oriental scenes, you are very welcome to communicate and interact with me.
I am willing to share my scene design ideas, original architectural resources and all my creation experience. At the same time, I also hope to learn more production skills, advanced making methods and mature optimization ideas from senior foreign creators.
We can discuss more interesting production ideas together, cooperate to create larger and more complete Chinese style themed mods, enrich scene details, add complete interior spaces, make real navigation paths, add active NPC groups, and create more vivid, playable and distinctive oriental content for the entire GTA 5 player community.
I welcome every sincere communication, technical discussion, rational suggestion and creative idea sharing.
Whether it is simple communication, technical exchange, or long-term joint creation and collaborative production, I am very happy to accept.
Let us respect each other’s creation, learn from each other’s strengths, exchange experience and grow together.
If you are interested in Chinese style creation, or have unique ideas for map production and mod development, please leave a comment or take the initiative to contact me. I will reply to every message carefully.
This map mod is for GTA 5 Single Player (SP) only, and requires custom DLC installation. It will not work on FiveM servers, GTA Online, or vanilla game installs without mod support.
Installation with OpenIV (most common method):
Download and install OpenIV, launch it, and enable Edit Mode.
Navigate to: mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/
Place the extracted map DLC folder into this directory.
Open: mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/dlcpacks/dlcpacks.xml
Add the following line at the bottom of the file:

dlcpacks:\[YOUR-MAP-FOLDER-NAME]\

Save the file, then launch GTA 5 in Single Player. The map will load automatically.
Installation with CodeWalker (alternative method):
Download and launch CodeWalker, open your GTA 5 game directory.
Go to the mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/ folder.
Import the map DLC folder into this path.
Open the dlcpacks.xml file in CodeWalker’s text editor.
Add the line
dlcpacks:\[YOUR-MAP-FOLDER-NAME]\
at the end.
Save the changes, close CodeWalker, and launch GTA 5 Single Player.
If you’re trying to use this on FiveM or GTA Online, it will not work due to platform restrictions. You need a server-compatible version for FiveM.
@phucduongdaonhan Thank you so much for your kind words and the 5-star rating! It means the world to me that you enjoyed the map and took the time to share your feedback.
This map is a traditional Chinese bamboo forest tea scene, with hand-placed bamboo, tea tables, and even the cooked bamboo shoots you mentioned—every detail is made to feel like a quiet mountain tea party. I put a lot of work into making the textures and props look authentic, which is why the file size is a bit bigger than average.
I totally get your point about the file size! In future updates, I’ll work on optimizing the textures and models to reduce the size while keeping the scene as detailed as possible. And as always, I have more Chinese-style scenes planned, all free for the community to enjoy.
Thanks again for playing and for the great suggestion—your feedback will help me make my next maps even better! 😊

@Bigsossa Hi there! I’m so sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the map—let’s get this sorted out for you!
First, I want to let you know that this map has been fully tested by many players, including users with FiveM servers and standard single-player setups, and it works perfectly for most people. The issue you’re facing is usually related to a few common installation or environment factors, so let’s go through the most likely fixes together:
Check your installation steps carefully
Make sure you’ve placed the entire DLC folder into mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/
Open mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/dlclist.xml in OpenIV, add the line
dlcpacks:/YourDLCFolderName/
above the closing </paths> tag, and save the file with Edit Mode enabled.
Double-check that you didn’t make any typos in the folder name or the line in dlclist.xml.
Verify your game environment
This map is fully compatible with both GTA 5 Legacy Edition and Enhanced Edition, and works with game versions from 1.41 up to the latest 1.69.
If you’re using a custom LSPDFR mod pack or a pre-made "clean" game pack, these sometimes have restricted file permissions or missing base hooks that prevent custom maps from loading properly. The most reliable setup is a fresh, unmodified game with OpenIV and required base tools installed.
Make sure you have all necessary dependencies (like OpenIV’s ASI Loader and required script hooks) enabled and working, as missing core tools can cause add-on maps to fail to load.
Troubleshoot potential conflicts
If you have a lot of other map mods installed, there might be a rare conflict that’s causing this issue. Try temporarily removing other add-on maps to test if this one loads correctly on its own.
If you’ve checked all these steps and it’s still not working, please let me know:
What game version and edition are you using?
Are you playing single player, FiveM, or using an LSPDFR mod pack?
Did you get any specific error messages when launching the game?
You can even send me a screenshot of your installation folder or the error log, and I’ll walk you through every step to get this map working for you. I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know about this, and I’ll do my best to help you fix it! 😊
@Starfox1993 Thank you so much for your amazing support and kind words! It means the world to me to hear that you love this map so much.
This is my first time recreating a classic 1980s Chinese-style rural primary school, and I put a lot of care into every detail to make it feel authentic—from the old blackboard and wooden desks to the playground and even the little wall posters you’d find in a school back then. I’m so glad these little touches are resonating with players like you!
And I have even more exciting news: I’m working on a whole series of original Chinese-style maps, all made with the same passion and attention to detail. I plan to recreate all kinds of iconic Chinese scenes, from traditional villages and old city streets to modern Chinese landmarks, and they’ll all be completely free for the entire global community to download and enjoy.
I hope this little school gives you a fun, immersive taste of Chinese culture. Stay tuned for more Chinese maps coming soon—can’t wait to share more of my work with you all! 😊
